EXPECTATIONS OR FAITH? (THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE TWO)
Expectations: we all have them…
When you’re dating you expect to meet that person who is going to sweep you off of your feet and take you in a horse and carriage to happily ever after… When you’re in college you expect to graduate, land your dream job, make tons of money, drive your dream car and live the perfect life.
Life is full of expectations; but think about this, have your expectations been met? Or do they match your reality? Probably not how you expected…
Expectations create attachment, disappointments & sometimes suffering …
Expectations can be tricky because it is also a form of limitation. When you expect things to happen or occur a certain way, you are emotionally attached to the outcome and when that outcome is not what you expected then you set yourself up for disappointment.
WhileFaith creates detachment, knowing, and a peace of mind…
Well what about “I create my own reality, I am supposed to have expectations right?”
Kind of, it is very vital to rest in knowing, knowing that “All is Well” If it is in your best interest, good for you and or your growth then rest in knowing that God, the universe, spirit, your faith, or whatever you consider your higher power will provide your need in the best way at the perfect time.
Do your expectations match your reality? When you have expectations it is the limitations of the ego that hold onto your expected outcomes, and unless your expectations match your reality you are left with an aftertaste of lack and literally block the flow of abundance in your life.
Now that you know the difference between expectations and faith you can finally let go of your expectations and be open to the possibilities, detach from the outcome, and rest in knowing that what is supposed to occur will when you are willing to let go of your emotional attachments (expectations) and trust that your dreams are in the process of becoming a reality! Give Thanks in Advance!!!
